A judge in the first 100 Second Films Festival, Khodaveisi said: such festivals help young filmmakers gain experience and study the views of audiences, other artists and cinema scholars in order to improve their knowledge.
On the status of 100 Second Films Festival after 10 years of experience, he said: in this festival, filmmaker are limited in terms of the time. Therefore, they have to make use of all the elements of story, which help them make better artists in the future.
He said if we want to draw larger audience, we have to pave the ground for that purpose and added: of course there are more audiences compared to the past, but for better advancedment, we need the cooperation of other organizations, especially the ministry of culture, radio and television and Howzeh Honari, as well as other cultural institutions to screen and distribute short films to greater audience.
The Juvenile Time series' actor said the managers of this festival should pay attention to the Iranian and Islamic achievements and added: with such festivals as 100 Second Films Festival which are hosted at an international level, we have to establish a new discourse just like those of Hollywood or Bollywood. We must select subjects that are specifically important to our own society, thereby resolving a part of our own problems.
