"100 second film in more useful in the case of fictional and experimental movies, while we cannot relate a whole story in such a short time, but we have to show a part of social matters, such as family issues, everyday life or religious issues", he told the Center for Conferences and Festivals in Howzeh Honari.

"Practically and considering the machine-based lives today, 100 second films especially targets those people who do not have much time and we want them to grasp the concept fast", he added.

He highlighted the importance of directors′ talents and said "You have to bring your story to an end in 100 seconds and sometimes it happens at the cost of influence".

He suggested to show 100 second movies wherever people walk and have to wait for a while, like subways, bus stops, train stations, airports, doctors′ offices, etc. "In fact, we are producing cultural medications for the audience to take and definitely get influenced" he added.

About the role of 100 Second Films Festival on improving Iranian cinema, Bagheri said "in festivals are held in line with the society′s needs, these festivals would help improve filmmaking. It would also be helpful when special places are prepared in society for showing short films. Of course there should be a more constructive approach to short films".
