"The 100 seconds should come from the directors' forms of filmmaking, not from the mandates of festivals", he added.
Yari highlighted the influence 100 second films have on the audiences and said: sometimes a footnote on a newspaper in much more influential than a 100-page paper, or even TV intermissions are much influential. Therefore we can say short films are able to have great influence on the audience.
Touching on the features of modern world, Yari said "speed and brevity is significant all over the world. Audiences do not accept talkativeness. In such an atmosphere, 100 second films festival can improve our technics of presentation and help us come up with a sort of quatrain in cinema".
He said it's wrong to think 100 second films are a tools for gaining experience. If we want to save this cinema, we have to consider it as a setting for using experiences.
"There is no genre of film in which directors do not make use of different time and place settings. Therefore, 100 second film ought to be a setting to use, not to gain, experience", he added.
Yari said "filmmaker can produce their movies and when they think they are able to make 20 minute or 100 second films, they would participate in these festivals. Now we can say this genre of film is gradually improving and achieving its high status in society".
