Permanent Secretariat of the International 100‑Second Film Festival Begins Its Work

With the appointment of the new secretary of the International 100‑Second Film Festival, the festival’s permanent secretariat has officially begun its activities, aiming to pursue policies for discovering and nurturing young filmmakers throughout the year.

The agenda of the permanent secretariat includes:

– Issuing production calls and supporting the creation of 100‑second films in different seasons of the year

– Holding filmmaking workshops in various provinces with the participation of prominent instructors

– Cinematic, television, and online screenings of selected films from previous editions both inside and outside the country

– Producing educational content related to 100‑second films in written and audiovisual formats

– Developing cultural and cinematic relations with aligned international festivals to expand artistic diplomacy

– Establishing strategic cooperation with educational institutions and organizations dedicated to empowering cinematic talents in the country

Mohaddeseh Pirhadi is a graduate of Sociology from the University of Tehran. She has previously worked at the Education Department of the Art Bureau, the Content Production Office of the Union of Islamic Students Associations, and the Research Department of the Sooreh Film Club.

In addition to producing several television programs, during more than a decade of professional activity she has produced over 30 short films, among which the acclaimed works “Brother,” “Before Heaven,” “Selection,” and “Very, Very Far and Extremely Close” can be mentioned.

A member of the policy council of the previous edition of the 100 Film Festival, she founded the Sooreh Young Film Center after serving as head of the Sooreh Short Film Production Center, and has been managing this center since 2023.
